‘The Church's Holy War’ in Church Army gazette

“Singing for Hymn Books: A story with sacred song, entitled, 'Little Minnie,' was given in the Mission Room, and was listened to with deep interest by a large and attentive audience. The songs and choruses were well rendered by the members of the C.A. meeting, and the story was illustrated with lantern pictures. The arrangements were made by Nurse Searle. A sum of 23s. was realized for the purchase of new hymn books, and other expenses connected with the meetings. The performance was repeated in Wallheath Schoolroom, in another part of the parish, on Oct. 18. [...]”
