“Stirring up: Capt. Parker stayed a week at Babraham with his 'Ely' I. Van, Oct. 11 to 18. Meetings were held every evening in the school, mostly with lantern stories, but also with practical and earnest Addresses, and Capt. Parker read the Lesson in church. This is the first time we have made aquaintance with the C.A., and they have made a most favourable impression. Their Meetings have excited great interest, and have been crowded. Their Addresses have been plain and pointed. They succeeded in drawing some to the Meetings who rarely, or never, attend church. All was conducted in a reverent manner. The parish was also visited. In rural parishes we all require some stirring up, and I have been very glad of this help. I hope some permanent results will follow here, and I believe a general impression of good has been made. I wish them all success in their work elsewhere, and I hope we shall have the pleasure of seeing them again.”
