“A crowded Meeting: The Church Army has lately held an Eight Day's Mission in this Parish. In spite of the very busy season, the Services were well attended, and Gospel Truth was earnestly spoken to the people. We were fortunate in the first Anniversary of the Dedication of the 'Lincoln' Van happening while the Army was here. The Service on that day in Church was bright, and the Evening Meeting was crowded. Through the generosity of a friend of the Army, one hundred and thirty sat down to tea. The Magic-Lantern Lecture held in a darkened room, was admirably given, and the cause of temperance was splendidly pleaded. We wish the Army God-speed.”
