“MARY AND MARTHA IN ONE East Farleigh, Kent. - Meetings were held on Friday, Dec. 17, in the Schoolroom, in support of the Church Army. That in the afternoon was for children. Capt. Davey addressed them, and gave Magic Lantern Illustrations. There were some 200 children present. In the evening the room was well filled with adults. Capt. Davey spoke about the success and increase of the Church Army, and gave some very interesting details and illustrations of its social organization. The Chair was taken by the vicar. The Collection at both Meetings amounted to ₤1 18s. 3d. Great interest is taken in the work of the Church Army in East Farleigh, and one of the Nurses is doing very useful work in the parish. Rev. E. C. Oakely, for Nurse Sherry.”
