St Peter’s Hindley – The work commenced at St. Nathanael’s (Platt Bridge) a few weeks ago semms to be getting on very nicely, but very quietly, and consists chiefly of Cottage Meetings, which are very well attended, several persons having professed rependance; and a service for 'men only”, in the Church, by Capt. Leyshon where the attendace is small yet but increasing. On Saturday nights we have the Magic Lantern in St. Nathanael’s Schools. On Saturday, March 14, after the Lantern – 'John Tregonoweth – his mark”, we continued a prayer Meeting, to pray God’s blessing on the work of the Sunday. Our kind Vicar gave a very interesting and helpful Address on 'Prayer”, giving us so,e striking instance of prayers being answered from the old and new Testament, and also from our own times.”
