“Ready to face all weathers: […] On Easter Monday we had our Easter tea, which everyone quite enjoyed. At night we gave a Service of Song entitled, 'The Way to Heaven,' illustrated by lime-light views, by Mr. Slater, who has been so kind as to come forward many times this winter. We had our dear Vicar in the Chair. We were very glad to welcome him again after his illness. [...] On Sunday last we gave the Service of Song, 'The Way to Heaven,' in the Market Place. It brought crowds round the ring, Captain giving the reading. God bless him and his dear wife. We were very glad to welcome Capt.. Kimberley, who popped in on Sunday night and gave us a very good address, which everyone quite enjoyed. May God bless our work in Dudley.”
