“Feeding the lambs: God has indeed blessed us with a good Nurse in our parish. Fourteen months ago she started afternoon Sunday School with about a dozen children, and it has increased in number to seventy-eight. On Saturday last, by dint of hard work and much kindness, the children, numbering 100, all sat down to a splendid tea. After tea, sixty-five prizes were presented to them by the Rector's daughter, and following this, a Magic Lantern Entertainment was kindly given by Capt. Christie, of Warren Row, entitled, 'For the Master's Sake.' All present enjoyed it immensely. This over, the Rector and Mr. Baker spoke a few kind words to the children, and after singing 'Now the day is over,' the Rev. J.R. Cohu said the Benediction. May God bless our dear Nurse in all her labours of love and kindness.”
