“Pastures new: A most interesting lecture on C.A. Work, both Evangelistic and Social, was given in the National schoolroom, on Tuesday evening, by Capt. Grummett, and Evangelist of the C.A., who is travelling through Somerset, giving lectures on the Society's work. He was briefly introduced by the Rev. Wm. Arnold, Vicar of the Parish. There was also present the Rev. M. J. W. Morgan, Organizing Secretary of the C.A., for the West of England. Capt. Grummett, the lecturer, was able to demonstrate his remarks by the aid of a very good lantern and lantern slides. The audience, which was very good, listened with great attention. At excellent collection was taken at the close. ”
