“Honest testimony: The Norwich Diocesan Van has made a fortnight's stay in this parish. Meetings were held chiefly in the schoolroom, and the numbers attending them from the outset, increasing still further as the work went on, showed the favourable impression which the visitors made. The addresses given were simple and forcible, sound in doctrine and practical in aim, while the varied characters of the meetings, two of which were accompanied by Lantern Illustrations, kept up their attraction. Due warning was given, however, of the danger of too much reliance on passing excitements, and honest testimony was borne to the value of the ordinances of the Church. [...]”
