“Five days in the Welsh Van: We have every reason to thank God for blessing received during the special effort made during the Mission held here by the C.A. Van and special officers. This is the first Mission of the kind held in this parish. […] We closed the Mission on Sunday night with an Open-air Magic Lantern Service, subject, 'Given in Charge,' when hundreds stood to listen o the very touching remarks of Capt. Morris. A few words were spoken to this vast crowd by Capts. Griffiths and Rowlands, and Nurse Spence. There were also present Canon Roberts, Mrs. Roberts, Rev. Morgans (Glan Conway), Mrs. Morgan, inside, where the subject of the service being the C.A. Rescue Work, we believe all present felt thankful that such a blessed work was going on in the dear old church. The Van stays an Colwyn Bay at the earnest request of the Vicar till after Christmas. Many testify to blessing received through it and its Staff. May God bless the Welsh Van in stirring many up. I may say I spent five of the most blessed days of my Church Army experience in the C.A. Van.”
