“Remembered in bed: I am very thankful that the C.A. Captain and Cadet Ellwood have been to Wigton. The work they do is essentially on Church models, and this is a great help to the Church. The meetings have been well attended, and marked with great enthusiasm. The readings by lantern slides is certainly a most admirable method, and the pictures of the 'Way to Calvary' cannot be surpassed. As regards 'Mother's Last Word's,' I heard of a little girl repeating the whole story while in bed the next morning. The Captain's words on all occasions were very earnest and telling, and I am hoping to see an increase in the Communicants. With all my heart I wish the workers health and strength and God' richest blessing.”
