“The Stockingford Corps of the Church Army has celebrated its first Christmas. On Thursday, the 26th, at 4 p.m., there was a march through the village, headed by the Vicar, who acts as Captain, Lieut. Neale, and Nurse Watt. Afterwards a goodly number sat down to a Social Tea; there was an exhibition of a magic lantern, accompanied by carols and hymns. ”
