COMMIN, J.G. (c.1857-1914) – lecturer
Royal Albert Memorial Museum – organiser
“At the Museum, Exeter, an interesting lecture was given by Mr Alderman Commin on Saturday night. The subject chosen was 'Rambles in the Footsteps of a Devonshire Artist of the Last Century.' An appreciative audience was present. Mr H.B. Varwell presided.
Mr Commin remarked that the artist, Prout, was a native of Plymouth [description of lecture content follows]. Some very fine reproductions of the artist's works were thrown on the screen.
