The lecturer remarked that no one who took any interest in the progress of these institutions could fail to have noticed the change which had come over the aspect of affairs of late years. It was now generally recognised that when a building had been erected, furnished with cases, and objects provided to fill the cases, the work of the museum had only just begun.
