“The twenty-second anniversary of ths Branch was celebrated (...) On Thursday a lantern lecture to the members of the Branch Band of Hope was given by the Rev. Henry Anstey, the subject being 'A Nation's Thirst'. There was an attendance of about 200 members. Later in the evening a public meeting was held n the same building, the Vicar presiding over a fairly large company.”
