“A most encouraging meeting was held on Monday, October 10, in the schoolroom of this important parish, on the occasion of the visit of Mr. Cann, the senior Police Court Missionary for Salop. The chair was taken by the Rector, Rev. T. Rogerson, at 7:30 pm, who opened the meeting with prayer. He said in his opening remarks that he was pleased to have again Mr. Cann to come and speak to them and explain the work of the Society. Mr. Cann gave an account of his work by the aid of lantern slides the subject 'In and Out o the Police Courts.' At the close the collection was taken on behalf of the fund of the Plice Court Mission, which realized 9s.”
