“A well-attended meeting was held in the Mission-Room on Tuesday evening. (...) Mr. Abbey took the first part of the meeting, and commented on a series of slides, 'The Evil of Public-House Life' and the Rev. R. H. Chaplin the second part, commenting on a series of slides illustrating the Passion of the Lord and Saviour. The collection was kindly given in aid of the Diocesan work.”
