“Two Lantern lectures in connection with this branch were given in St. John's Schools on Monday evening, March 28, the first at six o'clock being for juveniles, and the second exhibition later for adults. On each occasion there was a good attendance, the room at the second meeting being quite full. The lecture was one of a series founded on the excellent syllabus recently published by the Society on the religious, physiological, and economical aspects of the Temperance Reformation. The slides on Monday illustrated Part I of 'Taylor's Easy Lessons on Alcohol; Its Effects on Body and Mind.”
