“(...) At the close of the service the procession was re-formed, with the banner in the rear, and the hymn 'Brightly gleams our Banner' was sung en route from the Church ti the schoolroom. On reaching the schoolroom, an optical lantern lecture, entitled 'The History of the Drinking Customs in England,' was delivered by the Rev. D. Dewar, and after this all the members of the Branch were awarded the CETS suspenders, badges, and bars, according to the length of the membership of each (...)”
