The Diocesan Secretary attended, and gave one of his very interesting and instructive lectures, illustrated by limelight lantern views. He was listened to with very great attention, which showed due appreciation of the apposite remarks, and telling facts concerning the benefits of Temperance (...) Five pledges were taken at the close and we have good hope of the branch established in the parish growing and prospering.”
