HASKETT, Robert (c.1839-1916) – lecturer
C.E.T.S. London Branch – organiser
“Sergeant Major Haskett gave a lecture on October 31st, at the Assembly-rooms, Defoe Road, on 'Zulus and Zululand.' The lecture was illustrated by dissolving views, and was followed by the story of 'Buy your own Cherries.' The frequent expressions of pleasure proved that both were highly appreciated by the audience. St. Mary's drum and five band played at intervals during the evening. The room was well filled, and six new members were added to the Society. Several Copies of the CHRONICLE were sold.”
