SARGANT, Alfred (fl. 1870s-90s) – lecturer
SCAIFE, Mr (fl. 1870s) – lecturer
“On Friday Nov. 3rd, Mr. Saragant lectured upon Aesop Fables and their practical application for Christian workers, before a full meeting. Both adults and children were very pleased with the pictures and the stories connected with them. Mr. Scaife, from Bradford, next gave a short lecture, illustrated with appropriate views, entitled ' The Travels of the Sultan of Ragabagoo in Grogoland. Both the vicar and Curate spoke very decidedly in favour of the Temperance Movement. It is hoped an adult branch will soon be formed.”
