“On Friday evening, Oct. 27, the views illustrative of 'Church Temperance Work' were shown in the Reading-room of the above Hospital before a very large number of invalids, soldiersm and their friends. The hymns were thrown upon the sheet were heartily sung by a strong choir of juvenile Totale Abstainers, and the whole assembly enjoyed the lecture, which was given by Mr. Alfred Sargant (Secretary, Parent Society), the Rev. H. B. Bullock presided, and uttered a few stirring words at the conclusion of the entertainment.”
