GROVER, George C. (1864-1916) – lecturer
Lyme Regis Baptist Sunday School – organiser
“Lyme Regis - Baptist Sunday School held their annual tea on Wednesday last. In the evening a public entertainment was given, and the scholars sang very creditable. Mr. G.S. Grover, of London, exhibited lantern pictures.”
Although the lecturer's name is given in the reference as 'G.S.' Grover, this is assumed to be George C. Grover in view of his strong family connections with the Lyme Regis area (his father was a resident astronomer at Rousdon Estate by this date) and known connections with the lantern trade.
