“Topcroft - On Tuesday, Jan. 2nd, notwithstanding in the heavy showers of snow, the Sunday scholars met in the chapel to partake of the ample meal provided by the teachers. In the evening, lantern views illustrating 'Jackdaw of Rheims', 'A Troublesome Security', 'Cinderella', and 'Dat Ole Christmas Goose' were shown by Rev. H. J. Bayley, and the readings were given by Mr. S. N. Delf, C. C., Miss Delf, and Mr. H. Moulton.”
