“Sarisbury Green - Free Church Sunday School - On Tuesday, 26th, the New Year's treat was given to the scholars, when they were joined at tea by several of parents and friends. After tea, various indoor games were played. At the close Mr. George Newbury (the superintendent) exhibited a series of magic lantern effects illustrative of Eastern life, the Rev. W. Tidd Matson furnishing verbal explanations. Each child was presented with an orange on leaving. ”
