“Mortlake - Sheen Vale Sunday School - On Tuesday, March 4th, the new popular entertainment 'Down in Our Valley' was given by Mr. Gittens and friends of the Sunday School Union, to the scholars and parents of the children attending the above school. The dissolving views were exceedingly good, which, with the beautiful scenic effects in some of the pictures, together with the songs and pianoforte selections by the ladies, and Mr. Gittens' homely and interesting manner, made the gathering a very enjoyable one.”
