“Northampton. - Doddridge Sunday School. - An entertainment was given in the above school, in connection with the Magazine Society, on Tuesday evening, April 17th, in aid of the funds for binding the magazines, Mr. P. Robinson and Mr. J. Perry. The Rev. H. Matson, president of the local Union, took the chair. The entertainment consisted of some beautiful dissolving views. After these had been thoroughly enjoyed, the magazines which have been taken in by the schoalrs during the past year were handed to them by the chairman, with a few well-chosen remarks on what their reading should be. The numbers bound by the society this year have been 185; total number bound since the starting of the society in 1880, 1,000 volumes. Last year six schools in this town bound magazines amounting to 750 volumes.”
