“Hull, Salem. - A lecture on a 'Tour to Egypt' was given on Wednesday evening, by the minister, the Rev. D. Tilsley, illustrated by sixty photographic views shown by the oxy-hydrogen light. The journey out, the visiting of the several places, the examination of the ruins, and the return home, occupied about two hours; and all present seemed highly pleased that they could in these days travel so far and see so much in so short time, and that at so trifling a cost.”
