“Dorman's Land, Surrey. - On January 26th, one of the lectures of the Sunday School Union was given in the Baptist Chapel by the pastor, Rev. I. Near. Subject, 'Our English Bible, its History and Defenders,' illustrated by dissolving views, of which more than fifty were shown. A collection was taken in aid of the Sunday School funds. The next evening Mr. Near visited Horn, and repeated the lecture in the Mission, for the benefit of the Sunday School there.”
