“North Shields - On the Thursday evening, the room was devoted to the younger members of the congregation and school. Tea was provided in the infant calss-room, and a similar programme as the previous evening (speeches, tea, fruits, coffee, vocal and instrumental music and readings, free conversation - TG), with the addition of an exhibition of magic lantern views was given. Rev. J.T. Oliver presided each evening, and Mr. C. Wesencraft (church steward) and Mr. J. Sanda (choir master) had the charge of the programmes.”
