“Ilkley - Congregational Sunday School. - 'Pleasant Evenings for the People'. - On Friday week the third series of theese meetings was concluded in the Congregational Lecture-hall. Twenty-nine of these gatherings have been held, in connection with which the Sunday scholars have rendered valuable help. The hall, which will accomodate from 600 to 700, was packed. Mr. T. P. Muff presided. The Rev. S. D. Hillman delivered a lecture, illustrated by lantern scenes, and songs, recitations, dialogues, &c., were given by the junior and elder scholars of the Sunday School.”
