“Lancaster. - Centenary Congregational Church. - On Tuesday, March 30th, a lecture was given in the schoolroom, St. Leonardgate, by the president, the Rev. W. H. Smith, the subject of the lecture being, 'Martin Luther.' The lecture was beautifully illustrated by about fifty views placed upon a large screen by means of an oxy-hydrogen and lime light, this department being under the direction of Mr. John Brash. The chair was occupied by Mr. E. B. Dawson.”
