HAWKINS, J.F. (fl. 1880s) – lecturer
JACKSON, Reverend W.H. (fl. 1880s) – lecturer
“Shaldon, Devon - Congregational and Bible Christian Sunday Schools. - The children of the above schools, together with their teachers, had a treat on Thursday, Jan. 28th, in the form of a lecture entitled 'Pictorial Rambles and Fireside Sketches,' illustrated by dissolving views, exhibited by means of one of the powerful triple lanterns, prepared expressly for the London Sunday School Union, and manipulated by one of their exhibitors. Mr. J. F. Hawkins read the lecture. After the above, in the same room - the Shaldon Public Room - another lecture ebtitled 'Wanderings by the Sea - from Sheerness to the Land's End,' was given by the Rev. W. H. Jackson, of Teignmouth, to an adult audience. There was a fair attendance, the views were very good, and gave satisfaction.”
