SCOTT, Reverend J. Tait (fl. 1880s) – lecturer
Lymington Congregational Sunday School – organiser
“Lymington Congregational Sunday School Branch of the I. B. R. A. - On Wednesday, a free tea was given to the members in the upper school-room, admission being given to the all who could show their cards of membership. A public meeting was afterwards held in the lower school-room, when the pastor, the Rev, J. Tait Scott, presided. He spoke of the general work of the I. B. R. A., and reffered to the Lymington branch, whose members now number over 130. He then exhibited and explained some excellent magic lantern pictures of the Tabernacle, and some views of Jerusalem. Two or three good recitations were given by some of the members, and some hymns were sung, the whole meeting being of a very interesting character. A collection was made at the close to defray expenses. ”
