“South Devon - In Connection with the above Union two capital exhibitions of dissolving views were given in the Congregational School-room, Newton Abbot, on Monday week. The first was for scholars, subject being 'Pictorial Rambles, or Fireside Sketches.' Lecturer, Mr. H. Sanders. The second, for adults, was entitled, 'Wanderings by the Sea, Sheerness of Penzance.' Lecturer, Mr. N. Perry. The Rev. S. Lyne presided, and there were numerous and appreciative audiences.”
