“Sheerness - Bethel Sunday School Sorees - The last consecutive Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in January were the days fixed for the public tea and dissolving view entertainment. The duties of lecturer were divided between the Revs. E. Price, W. H. Whitbread, and Mr. W. T. Rule. The audiences were, as usual, very good; on the Tuesday some 300 adults attended, whilst on Wednesday the children and adults together numbered 540, finishing up on Thursday with 453 present - making a total out of 1300. ”
