“Birmingham - On Monday week last the Young Men's Baptist Missionary Society gave one of their lantern exhibitions, illustrative of missionary work in India - Mr. Farrow giving the illustrative lecture. This is an excellent means of both giving instructions and creating new interest in missionary work. During the past year upwards of 200 meetings of the Gospel Temperance Mission have been held in this town, and 5,000 pledges taken.”
