“Aylesbury - Congregational Sunday School - A winter treat was given to the scholars attending this school on Tuesday evening week, in the school-room, Castle-street. An excellent tea was provided at 5 o'clock, to which about 130 children and young people sat down, the teachers and other friends exerting themselves to promote their comfort. After tea a number of recitations and songs were vigorously given by various scholars, after which there was an exhibition of capital dissolving views, illustrating Bunyan's 'Pilgrim's Progress.' These were graphically described by the Rev. Dickerson Davies, president of the school.”
