“Tuesday, 7.30 - Lecture, 'Martin Luther, his Life and Times,' illustrated with the S. S. Union Dissolving Views. Mr. Luther Hinton. Senior Scholars' Entertainment, 56 Old Bailey, London .On Tuesday evening the subject of the lecture was 'Martin Luther: His Life and Times.' It was illustrated by the Sunday School Union Dissolving Views, and the lecture was delivered by Mr. Luther Hinton, Mr. Brain presiding.As the lecturer recounted the noble deeds of the great reformer, and his brave resistance of the powers of evil, the audience showed their appreciation of the earnest and interesting manner in which that remarkable history was brought before them my marked attention and frequent applause.The lecture throughout was of such a character as to stimulate the young people present to stand up boldly for the right, and, trusting in Almighty God, not to fear what man could do them.A very hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. HInton at the close.”
