‘Intelligence’ in Sunday School Chronicle

“Albion-road Congregational Sunday Schools - On Tuesday, 30th January, a Christmas treat was given to the scholars of the above; at 6 o'clock they assembled to partake of tea, cake, &c, after which they were entertained by the sight of some beautiful dissolving views exhibited by Mr. A. W. Pierson; the series included 'John Ploughman's Pictures,' and 'The Jackdaw of Rheims,' which were lucidly explained by Mr. Ernest Poole, the superintendent, and Rev. James Irving, the pastor. At intervals short addresses were given by Rev. E. Hayward (of Dartford), Rev. James Irving, Mr. Acott (one of the teachers), and Mr. E. Poole (the superintendent), and recitations given by some of the scholars.”
