CARRUTHERS, Alfred G. (1857-1928) – lecturer
CARRUTHERS, Thomas (c.1848- after 1901) – lantern operator
“Blunham, Beds - On Thursday evening, at the Old Meeting, a lecture on Scotland, with dissolving views, was given by the Messrs. Carruthers, of Bedford, to a good company. The beautiful pictures gave a great charme to the lecture, the descriptive parts of which were lucid, and the moral tone good. The monthly service for the young was conducted by Mr. Wotton, of Renhold. The Sunday evening sermon, by the Rev. W. Abbott, was an appeal to the young to become the disciples of Christ: 'Will ye also be His disciples?'”
