JEWELL, Mr (fl. 1880s) – lecturer
“Croydon - George-street Chapel - On Tuesday, February 15th, the parent's annual treat took place, Mr. W. H. Bishop, of Croydon, occupying the chair. The attendance was good, consisting mainly of mothers, though many children were present. The tea was followed by an interesting magic lantern entertainment, Mr. Jewell. superintendent of Leslie Park School explaining the views. Messrs. Bishop, Jewell, Johns, Pye-Smith, and others then addressed the parents, after which the proceedings closed with the usual distribution of the monies of the sick and death fund. ”
