“Greenwich - Poor Children's Weekly Dinners. - The last meal in connection with the above dinners was given in the South-street Baptist Sunday School-room, on Easter Monday, when a breakfast was provided, at 10 o'clock, for 500 of the poor children of Greenwich. There was an ample supply of coffee and bread and butter, and an Easter bun was given to each of the children. After the breakfast the children sang hymns from books printed for the occasion. There were tunes played on the fairy bells by Messrs. Nightingale and Crisp, of Woolwich; and well-known pieces from hand-bells were given by Messrs. Noakes and Sole, who have greatly aided Mr. G. S. Wybroo (the president of the movement) in his lectures at the neighbouring Sunday Schools, by their magic-lantern and hand-bells, the proceeds of which entertainments haven been devoted to the dinner fund.
