LILLEY, W.E. (fl. 1870s) – lecturer
New Court Mission School – organiser
“New Court Mission School - On the 12th instant, the scholars had their annual treat, when about 160 sat down to tea in the school-room. After tea a procession was formed, and headed by Miss Broom's Mission Drum and Fife Band, and with a gay sprinkling of flags, &c., marched to the Public Hall, where an entertainment of dissolving views, illustrated of 'The Life of Moses,' and 'Scrub, the Workhouse Boy,' and miscellaneous views was given. Mr. W. E. Lilley, of London, acted as lecturer. Several hymns and songs were sung by the scholars during the evening.”
