“South West Auxiliary - The dissolving view apparatus and slides of the Auxiliary, illustrated a lecture given by Mr. W. H. Beach, in the lecture hall of Westminster Congregational Chapel, on Tuesday evening, the 18th inst. The subject was 'London and Westminster, Past and Present, ' and formed one of a series of ' Evenings for the People,' arranged by the above place of worship. The excellent views of a large number of noted parts of both cities, in their ancient and modern aspects, were tersely described by the lecturer. An appreciative audience crowded the hall, and frequently manifested its approval by hearty applause. The entire entertainment was kindly provided by Mr. H. J. Stanesby. At the close, a vote of thanks was given to the lecturer”
