ADAMS, Reverend T. (fl. 1870s) – lecturer
LEIGH, S.G. (fl. 1870s) – lantern operator
Western Northamptonshire Sunday School Union – organiser
“Daventry and Badby - On Monday evening, February 4, Marshall's set of photographic transparencies of the 'Cities and Scenery of South-Eastern Europe' were shown with the sciopticon belonging to the Western Northamptonshire S. S. Union by Mr. S. G. Leigh, the secretary, Mr. J. Eagle, giving the description from 'Marshall's Lantern Lectures.' On the following evening the same lecture was given in the Independent Schoolroom, Daventry, by the Rev. T. Adams, Mr. Leigh manipulating the lantern. The transparencies were of the best quality, and came out well upon the screen, evidently giving satisfaction to the audience at each place. The net proceeds were forwarded as a contribution from the above-named schools to the Continental S. S. Mission.”
