“Southwark, St. Saviour's - The annual winter treat of the above school took place on Wednesday evening, the 16th, when the prizes were distributed to the most regular and attentive scholars by the president, the rev. W. Curling; at the conclusion of which cake and oranges were distributed among the children. Then followed a dissolving view lecture on the life and journeys of St. Paul, kindly given by Mr. Batty, and 'Lost in the Snow', a descriptive narrative, given by the superintendent.”
