Gray's Yard Ragged Church and Schools, London – organiser
“Gray's Yard Ragged Church and Schools - In aid of the funds of this insitution an interesting and just now very appropriate lecture entitled 'India' was delivered on Tuesday evening at Seymour Hall, Lower-Seymour-street, by Selwyn Blackett, Esq., illustrated by some excellent dissloving views, which were rendered exceedingly brilliant by the aid of oxy-hydrogen lime light. The chair was occupied by Samuel Gurney Sheppard, Esq. and the lecturer was listened to by a large and attentive audience. The choir of Brunswich Episcopal Church rendererd good service in conducting the choral arrangements.”
