“Stepney (John Knox Sunday School). - A lecture on 'America' was delivered on Thursday evening last week, in the church adjoining the above school, when the Sunday School Union's splendid new panorama, explanatory of the subject, was brought into use. The chair was taken by by George B. Chapaman, who, in his opening remarks spoke encouragingly to the scholars present, and introduced the lecturer, the Rev. William Tyler, of Mile End, who gave an interesting account of his journeyings, and a description of the principal places visited during his tour in America. On the motion of Mr. Kemp, a cordial vote of thanks was passed to the lecturer and the chairman.”
